Egg Hunt and Education Expo at Lakeside this weekend

Lakeside Shopping Center is holding an Easter Egg Hunt and Education Expo this weekend on Saturday 3/13/10. The egg hunt is sponsored by Radio Disney and starts at 9:45 a.m. at the Veterans Skylight area and features a special performance by the Saint Augustine Marching 100. The Education Expo runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features drama performances, martial arts demonstrations, dance recitals and other live entertainment. De La Salle Cajun Food and Fun Festival, 3/21

De La Salle is holding its Fais Do Do Cajun Food and Fun Festival on 3/21/10 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature live music, food and fun for the whole family. Some of the performers include Bruce Daigrepont, the Wise Guys, Liquid Peace Revolution and the Refugeze. There will also be raggles, games, a parades of prizes and plenty of games and fun for the kids. The event also coincides with the Great St. Charles Ave. Road Race, a 1K and 5K road race that starts at 8:30 a.m.

Enjoy Soul Fest at the Audubon Zoo this weekend

Head out to the Audubon Zoo this weekend on 3/13 and 3/14 for the annual Soul Fest. The event is a 2-day celebration of Black History and culture with live music, great food by local restaurants and arts and crafts. Some of this year's performers include: Kermit Ruffins, Hot 8 Brass Band, Thelonious Monk Institute Jazz Band, ELS, BRW, Irvin Mayfield and Rebirth Brass Band. There will also be local health organiations on hand offering information on healthy living and positive lifestyle changes. The event is free with the price of regular admission to the zoo.
